Long ago, cats roamed a section of land that was unused, untouched. They lived as rogues, no one to care for them, and fighting among themselves. They lived in the swampy parts, the moors, the forests and with the creeks and rivers around their area.
A ginger pelted she-cat named Whisper soon found the groups of scattered cats and weaseled her way up the ranks, picking fights and leading as best she knew how. The night everything changed, she had power.
She planned an attack to take over the groups and rule all. Whisper spread rumors around and told lies about the other cats, turning once friends into forever enemies. She then led her closest followers with her through the night, getting them battle ready. They watched below them as they neared a hollow full of fighting and snarling cats. The battle was about a topic, long forgotten now, and the cats were attacking each other in full force. Whisper and her comrades rushed in around the struggling and attacking cats, making quick work of the fighters who might rebel.
As more cats died in this bloody battle, their spirits rose and stood surveying the survivors. The clearing came to a hush and the spirits spoke. They spoke to the remaining, battle-weary cats about forging new clans that left their old torn life and made it something to be proud of. Something to fight for. Something to live for. They would forever live under the newly made StarClan and live in peace. They would still have their fighting skills ready, for they knew there would be occasional scrabbles. StarClan made 4 Clans and named them ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. They each would have unique personalities that complemented their clan mates. ThunderClan was brave and their bodies a large build; RiverClan was content, and good at swimming; WindClan was proud and lithe; and ShadowClan was all for power and sly. Lastly StarClan decided on leaders to lead their clan and take care of them, even if their life was at stake. They received ‘star’ at the end of their name and 9 lives to lead with. Whisperstar lead ThunderClan, Miststar lead RiverClan, Rosestar lead WindClan and Shadestar lead ShadowClan.
They left and made their territories sending out patrols day and night living out the warrior code. This has continued to this day, but a new power is rising. It can be felt in every hair, breath, and step the warriors take. Ever since SkyClan joined the Clans, cats have been whispering and talking amongst themselves, and wondering whether they are truly a Clan or not. Some talk of SkyClan’s kittypet blood and the land given to them. Some are laying low, waiting for their moment of power, and to lead a revolt that will hit the clans with an impact that will never go away. The moment is coming and the clans are separating from each other. So, who will you join when the clans clash?
